Development and delivery of community wildfire education, training, and prevention programs. MECCS provides tools, workshops, and guidance to help local residents protect homes, cultural areas, and ecosystems through FireSmart practices and emergency planning.

Land-based learning and mentorship programs for youth focused on traditional ecological knowledge, cultural teachings, and environmental stewardship. Workshops and camps help the next generation stay connected to the land and involved in conservation.

Ongoing data collection on weather, waterways, and wildlife populations, alongside regular consultation with surrounding First Nation communities, local residents, recreation users, and affected stakeholders to support collaborative decision-making and ensure sustainable land management.
